Thomas D. Becker

Tom passed away peacefully on September 29, 2026 at the age of 71 and is now praising Jesus in Heaven. He was born and raised in Madison growing up on Madison’s westside. He graduated from West High School in 1973 and then attended the UW Madison. He was a lifelong learner, a voracious reader who loved to paint and enjoy God’s beauty in nature and had a deep appreciation for music from the classical artists to the Big Band era to Rock ‘n Roll. At the time of his death he was employed at The Renaissance Senior Living of Hilldale where his servant heart touched all his fellow employees and the residents. He had previously worked for many years at Smoky’s Supper Club.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Duane, and mother, Beatrice. He is survived by his kid sister, Diane Pollek (Keith), niece, Amy Pollek, nephew, Matthew Pollek (Bekah), grandniece, Lizzie, and grandnephews, Zeke and Silas. The love he shared with Amy, Matt, Lizzie, Zeke, and Silas was simply amazing. His big booming voice and hearty laugh were priceless treasures. We thank the Lord for having Tom in our lives.

There will be a Life Celebration held on Saturday, October 10th at Cress Funeral Home 3610 Speedway Road Madison from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
