Theodore Ira Smolker

Theodore (Ted, Teddy, Papa Teddy) Smolker passed away on 17 July 2024. He was 86 years old and surrounded by his family at his home in Middleton. 

Ted completed his bachelor’s degree in psychology at Boston University, his Master’s degree at New York University, and he earned his Juris Doctorate at St. John’s University. 

Ted’s pride and absolute joy were his family. He loved visiting with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren, and he enjoyed model trains, cars, planes, movies, music, and foods that brought back fond memories.

Ted is survived by his daughters and their spouses, Leslie, Dan, Ellie, and Andres; his grandchildren Louis, Tyne, Sam, Alysse, Oliver, and Alejo; his great-grandchildren, Schaffer and Chloe; his sister, Sandra; his nephews, Daniel and David; and most importantly, by the love of his life - his wife of 64 years - Ina O. 

Private services were held. In lieu of flowers the family would like to support Agrace Hospice who brought him comfort and peace.
