In Loving Memory

Theodore H. "Ted" Skogen, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 26, 2015. He was born on May 29, 1935 in Sun Prairie, son to Theodore and Wanda (Uphoff) Skogen. Ted married Lorraine Heiking on September 24, 1955 at Sun Prairie United Methodist Church. Together they raised 3 children.

Ted graduated in 1953 from Sun Prairie High School. He worked as a custodian for the Sun Prairie High School and retired in 1997. After his retirement, he drove bus for the Sun Prairie School District. Ted enjoyed collecting toy tractors and old pickups. He also enjoyed flea markets and attending gun shows.

He is survived by his wife Lorraine of 60 years; daughters Barbara ( Patrick) Cowen of Sun Prairie, Pamella Skogen of Deforest and son Donald ( Peggi) Skogen of Prentice; 4 grandchildren Jessica, Melissa, Joshua and Justin; 8 great-grandchildren; and his brother Larry ( Barbara) Skogen of Racine.

A funeral service for Ted will be held at Cress Funeral Home 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 12:00pm with Rev. Frank Gaylord officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
