Terry L. Parker, age 83, passed away at his home on October 7, 2025. He was born the fourth of six boys on April 20, 1942, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to the late Howard and Irene (Norby) Parker.
In 1965, Terry married the love of his life, Mary (Wallace) Parker, and together they raised two sons, Brian and Bradley. They shared 55 beautiful years of marriage before Mary's passing in May of 2021. Terry’s greatest joy was his family, and he deeply cherished his time with his grandchildren: Nicholas Parker, Jacob Parker, and Katie Parker. For much of his career, Terry worked as a dedicated and meticulous repair technician for office equipment, lending his skill and expertise to companies like Monroe Systems for Business and Gordon Flesch.
Terry, along with Mary, found a true passion in supporting their sons' involvement in the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. He was immensely proud of his time serving as a business manager within the organization, an experience that forged lifelong friendships for both him and Mary. Later in life, Terry and Mary enjoyed making lasting memories on beautiful cruises, spending memorable winters at their retreat in Arizona, and trying their luck at casinos.A man of quiet demeanor, Terry possessed a gentle and engaging sense of humor that brought out countless smiles and laughs when he shared a joke or a story. He was a consistent tinkerer and a lifelong learner who loved figuring things out, whether it was fixing an engine, trying to understand the latest technologies, or just taking in some of the great courses. He was also a cultivator of plants (every house had some kind of garden and/or fruit trees) and enjoyed observing nature.Terry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary; his parents, Howard and Irene; and his brothers, Duane and David. He is survived by his son Brian (Jennifer) Parker, son Bradley Parker, and his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, and Katie. He is further survived by his brothers, Arden (Pat), George (Gay), and Steven (Judy) Parker, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.A visitation and brief service will take place on Saturday, November 1. It will begin with a visitation at 9:30 am at Cress in Waunakee with a short service at 11:00 am, followed by fellowship and a luncheon at Rex’s Innkeeper to share memories and stories about Terry.
