Suzan Buresh

NEW GLARUS- Suzan (Rickbeil) Buresh, age 68, of New Glarus passed away on March 25, 2015 at Belmont Nursing Center in Madison.

She was born on June 24, 1946 in Worthington, Minn, the daughter of Robert and Jeanne Rickbeil. She married Thomas Buresh on March 20, 1980 in Madison, Wis.

Susan grew up in New London most of her life. She obtained a BFA from University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh and taught art for 4 years. She than joined Anchor Saving and was there almost 10 years before MS took its toll. She was a passionate artist working in medias from watercolor to art metal to cross-stitch and was a great community volunteer in her later years. No one loved the Christmas holidays more than her.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; sister, Jo (Bob) Wagner; niece, Laura Wagner; grandnephew, Robert Wagner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norbert and Dorothy Buresh; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Don and Debbie Buresh, Greg and Carol Buresh, Mitch and Deb Specht, Mark and Pat Griffin, Steve and Karen Buresh; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Susan Wagner and Michael Buresh.

A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.

Memorials may be made in Suzan's name to the National MS Society- WI Chapter, 1120 James Drive, Hartland, WI 53029
