Susan H. Weston, 74, died peacefully on October 21, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare in Madison. Sue was born in Chicago on August 12, 1938 to Raymond and Betty Hazekamp. She was graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1960, and married Dr. Carl B. Weston of Madison the same year. Sue and Carl had three daughters, and one son, Carl, who passed away in 1992.
Sue was involved in several Madison organizations including Attic Angels, Delta Gamma, and P.E.O. After raising her children, Sue brought her incomparable creativity and style to the Doncaster, Carlisle and Worth companies, inspiring many women across the country. Sue was a devoted friend, an accomplished gardener and an animal lover. A perfect day usually started with a long, brisk walk with her standard poodle Phineas, often accompanied by a close friend.
Sue's warm smile, hearty laugh and unique ability to captivate those around her will be greatly missed by her husband, Carl, and their children and grandchildren: Holly W. Rogers and her husband, Chip, of Andover, Massachusetts, and their sons, Weston, Sawyer, and Davis; Jenner W. McLeod and her husband, Eric, of Madison, and their daughters, Jenner, Anders and Hollis; and Sarah W. Orr and her husband, San, of Lake Forest, Illinois, and their sons, Anders, Oliver, and Morgan.
Sue's family wishes to extend deep appreciation to all of the wonderful people who provided compassionate care at Agrace Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 116 W. Washington Avenue, Madison, at 1:00pm CT on Friday, October 26th. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 East Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI, 53711.
