Susan M. Ross

Susan M. Ross,   age 66, daughter of Ivan F. and Elsie H. Wilcox (Teppo) was born on August 20, 1944 in Oceanport, New Jersey. She died September 27th of this year at the University Hospitals after a long illness with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Leonard E. Ross, two brothers, James Wilcox of Olympia, Washington, and Robert Wilcox of Chicago, Illinois, and a sister, Pamela Kelly, of Austin, Texas. A second sister, Kathryn N. Wilcox, died at an early age.   Susan received a BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois in 1966, and an MA and PhD in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin. She worked as a Lecturer and Research Associate for several years before being appointed Assistant Dean in the Office of Student Affairs, College of Letters and Science, a position she held until her retirement from the UW in 1992. She authored or co-authored a number of research articles in the field of Psychology.   Services will be held for Susan at 2:00 pm  on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI,  for family and close friends.   A private family burial will be held.
