Sun Prairie

Susan E. De Vinney

Sun Prairie – Susan De Vinney was born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1933.  She had an older brother and a twin brother that she remained very close to.

She met her beloved husband, David, while they were both students at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.  They both remained huge Badger fans throughout their lives.

Susan loved children and worked for many years as a teacher aid in Sun Prairie.  She also volunteered as a baby rocker for premature babies at U.W. Hospital in Madison.

In her free time, she enjoyed bridge, golf and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Family was everything to Susan and she passed that value on to all of her loved ones.

She and her husband David were long time residents of Sun Prairie and were very involved in the community.  They participated in many service clubs and loved performing in Civic Theater.

Susan never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone whose life she touched.

She is survived by her daughters Diane De Vinney Stieber and Karen De Vinney Baldwin; six grandchildren (who adore her); and seven great grandchildren who will surely be taught about her loving ways.

I lieu of a funeral, her family will hold a private celebration of life.

Susan made the world a better place and will be greatly missed.
