Suki (Susan) C. Keniston

Suki (Susan) C. Keniston died comfortably around 10pm on Friday December 22, 2023, with her husband and children at bedside.

A Madison native, Suki was fiercely independent – with quite the stubborn streak – and always, unfailingly loving and protective.

She loved her career as a nurse, particulary her work with children.  She cherished spending time with her family, both those related by blood and the strong network of chosen family she made throughout her life.  Cooking was one of her favorite ways to bring family together, and she thoroughly enjoyed puttering around her garden, so she could watch it thrive.  Together with her husband Jim, she created a safe and welcoming space for people throughout her life, including the many friends brought in by her children.

Suki is survived by her husband, Jim Warring; eldest child, Crash Warring and their partner Jay; youngest child, Jackson Warring and his husband Earle; and Drew, Jenni, and Meadow Feldkirchner.  Suki is also survived by her many, many other family members and friends who became family.

A celebration of Suki’s life will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Cress Funeral, located at 3610 Speedway Road, Madison.  The visitation will start at 4:00p.m. with the service at 6:00p.m., and a reception to follow.
