Stoughton

Stoughton – Susan “Sue” Locke, age 74, passed away on November 19, 2024 at U.W. Hospital in Madison. She was born to Ardis and Roy Peterson on February 15, 1950, joining brothers William and james and later joined by sister Debra and brother Charles making the family complete.

As a child in the 1950’s she spent hours outdoors playing with her brothers. But inside she always talked about being a nurse when she grew up. This goal was met when she graduated from Madison General School of Nursing in 1971. She met her soon to be husband Gary Locke in 1969 and were married in 1970. Together they had two children, Christopher and Sara. Some of her hobbies were needlepoint, macrame, and making baby blankets for each new baby born into our family.

She was preceded in death by her son, Chris; older brother, William, and father, Roy.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton with Pastor Wendy Moen presiding. A time of gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
