Steven R. Schult

Sun Prairie - Steven Roger Schult, 67, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1957, in Freeport, Illinois, to Roger and Janice Schult. Steven was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose kindness, steady presence, and sense of humor left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

Steven was married to the love of his life, Linda Schult, for 35 years. Together, they built a home filled with love, faith, and laughter. He is survived by his four daughters: Kelly (Brad) Whalen, Emily (Eric) Kinn, Erin (Travis) Ames, and Kristine (Tyler) Knapp. Steven was a proud and devoted grandfather to nine granddaughters, one grandson, and two great-granddaughters. He is also survived by his siblings: Susan (Robert) Russow, Jeff (Lori) Schult, and Wendy (Blake) Klosa, and many nieces & nephews. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and watching the next generations grow. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Professionally, Steven dedicated nearly 30 years of his career to General Casualty, later QBE, where he was respected for his integrity, work ethic, and troubleshooting abilities. He was a steady presence who always gave his best.

Steven enjoyed spending time with his family, singing, tracking the weather, and watching trains. A man of deep and unwavering faith, Steven had a passion for the Lord that shaped every aspect of his life. His love for worship was expressed most powerfully through his love of music, which brought him joy and served as a heartfelt way to praise God and encourage others.

He will be remembered for his love for the Lord and unwavering support of his loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Peace Lutheran Church.

The funeral service will be at 3:30 PM on Thursday May 8, 2025, at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1007 Stonehaven Dr. Sun Prairie with Rev. Shawn Arndt presiding. There will be a luncheon following the funeral at the funeral home on Thursday. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in Sun Prairie Memory Garden at 10:00 AM on Friday May 9, 2025.
