Steven Kelley

MADISON- Steven Henry Kelley, age 69, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020.  He was born on March 23, 1951 in Madison, the son of Henry and Velma (Bollig) Kelley.  He graduated from Madison East High School, Class of 1970.  He went on to work with his dad at Gisholt before their closure.  Steven then worked at Oscar Mayer, Madison Kipp, and finally GE Datex-Ohmeda, retiring in 2011.

Steven enjoyed racing “slot” cars with his buddies.  He loved his “Beetle” Volkswagen and cared for it meticulously.  Fishing was also a hobby of his, and he had great times with his friends going on various fishing trips.  Steven also enjoyed “happy hour” at the Prime Quarter on Friday nights.

Steven is survived by his daughter Lindsay (Tim) Tobolic of whom he was so very proud and loved so much.  He is also survived by his fiancée Peggy Mulder; his sisters Patricia Walkington, Katherine (Robert) Wise, and Sheila Voss; nieces Lynn (Clayton) Bennett, Patti Moore, Robin Pearce, and Kelli (Marc) Buchanan; nephews Michael Walkington, David Walkington, Marc Voss, and Jamey Voss; three grandnieces; three grandnephews; one great-grandniece; and one great-grandnephew.  Steven also has some great “buddies” that will miss him terribly.  Steven was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Bill Walkington.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made in Steven’s memory to either WORT 89.9 FM or Agrace HospiceCare.

The family wishes to thank Peggy Mulder for her untiring and cheerful care of Steven.  She was truly a “God send”.

Steven was a caring father, a loving fiancé, and a wonderful little brother.  He will be dearly missed.
