Stephen "Steve" P Beckett

Deerfield – Stephen Peter Beckett passed away at UW Hospital on January 9, 2024, with family at his side. He was born on October 24th, 1958, the second son of Llewellyn and Joan Beckett. He was a lifelong resident of Deerfield, Wisconsin where he served on the volunteer fire department for many years.  He worked at Sta-Rite before beginning his career at MPI in 1984 and was a dedicated employee there until his retirement in 2022.  He was united in marriage to Nancy on May 21st, 1983, and together they raised three children.  Steve enjoyed deer hunting, camping, watching Nascar, playing cards, Viking football, "cruising around the block" and spending time with his family and friends.  He hated the Packers.  He is survived by his loving wife Nancy; sons Chad Anderson and Tim (Angela) Beckett; daughter Kellie (Michael) Lewellin; grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Kylie, Anthony, Thai, Savanna, Destiny, Michaela, and Mason; brother Michael Beckett; sister-in-law Peggy (Gene) Bakken and brother-in-law Allan (Donna) Pulvermacher.  He is further survived by many nieces, aunts, uncles, other family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents and other loved ones.   

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 16, 2024, at DEERFIELD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 S. Main St. Deerfield with Rev. Rich Johnson presiding.  Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the funeral at the church on Tuesday.  A celebration of life will be at 1:00 PM at The Rail House, 12 S Industrial Park Road in Deerfield after the burial.
