Stanley A. Skoumbouris, age 94, of Madison, WI, fell asleep in Christ on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

Born in Megalopolis, Greece, to the late Athanasios and Maria Skoumbouris, Stanley was a proud Greek immigrant, faithful Orthodox Christian, successful real estate developer, and incredible television salesman; but most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and mentor. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.

From the time he arrived in America in 1952, Stanley was a steadfast believer in the American dream and he achieved it. There wasn’t a place he could go in Madison where he wasn’t greeted by a friend or acquaintance. He was quick to lend an ear and a bit of advice, and always with a smile.

Stanley is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Estelle; devoted children, Maria (George) Tzougros, and Eleni Skoumbouris; grandchildren, Theodore (Megan) Thomas, and Naida Tzougros; great grandson Harrison Thomas; and many loving nieces and nephews. He deeply loved his entire family.

In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his sisters, Toula Colonias and Eugenia Skoumbouris.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 11 N. 7th Street, Madison, WI 53704. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
