Madison - Stanley T. Leer died March 18, 2013, at Oakwood Village University Woods. He was born August 22, 1918, in Viroqua, WI, the son of Selmer and Thea Leer. Stan served in the Air Corps, during World War II. During his Air Corps service he met his future wife, Sally (Sarah) Thompson in Grand Island, NE and they were married July 1, 1945. At the end of his Air Corps service, he resumed and completed his studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
When he retired, Stan and his wife moved to Hot Springs Village, AR where for many years he volunteered at National Park Medical Center, served as an Elder in his church, an officer in Breakfast Lions Club, member of the Shrine Club, and president of men's 9-hole golf association.
Stan is survived by his wife, Sally; three half brothers, Chet and Charles Lee of Viroqua, and Arnold Lee of Beloit. Cremains will be interred in Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines memorial garden, Hot Springs Village, AR at a later date.
