Soledad Lockwood

Sun Prairie- Soledad "Lena" Lockwood of Sun Prairie, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Lena was born on March 20, 1922 in Manila, Philippines. She was married to Kenneth "Ross" Lockwood in June of 1955, and together they raised two children.

Lena worked for many years for the Motorola Corporation as an inspector, and for the Wisconsin Cheeseman until she retired at the age of 82. She was a hard worker, wife, mother, and provider for her family. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, exercising and shopping.

Lena is survived by her son William Lockwood, a daughter Cora Brooks, grandchildren; Joyce Laddusire (Brooks), Justin Lockwood, Ryan Lockwood, Kelly Lockwood, and Sarah Lockwood. Eight great grandchildren also survive her.

Her husband, Ross and her son Raymond Lockwood precede her in death.

A Celebration Reception will be held on Saturday, June 4 from noon until 4:00 p.m. at Sunwood Apartments community room, 1750 Linnerud Dr, Sun Prairie, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
