Sneh Rihani

Smt. Sneh Rihani, wife of Shri Om Prakash Rihani passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was 77 years old and lived in Madison, Wisconsin for the past five years. She was born in the village of Hoshiarpur, in the state of Punjab in India and was the youngest of nine siblings.

Sneh was married to Om for nearly 59 years. They were married on February 8, 1967 and raised three children. Daughter Richa Rihani, residing in Bangalore India, eldest son Ritesh Rihani, residing in Madison, Wisconsin, USA and the youngest son, Ribhu Rihani, residing in Melbourne, Australia.

Sneh was an amazing cook and an exceptional hostess. Her door was always open to guests and her table laden with freshly made delicacies, and a cup of her masala chai. Her infectious love of cooking has been inherited by all three of her children. She loved watching movies and soap operas. She would watch a soap opera irrespective where it was based - India, Pakistan, Turkey, Mexico and of course the US.

She was a devout Hindu and a staunch vegetarian her entire life. She prayed to her gods everyday and was known for celebrating every festival with the utmost devotion. She was a flag bearer of her culture and traditions.

She lived most of her adult life in Delhi, India and moved to Madison with Om in October 2020 during Covid. She initially lived in Monroe Commons (above Trader Joes) for three years before moving to Capitol Lakes. She loved living in Madison close to her son Ritesh and his family including Mary, his wife, and twin daughters Mira and Veda who were a constant source of pleasure for her. Richa’s children Antara Anand and Aryaan Anand visited to spend time with their grandmother as often as possible.

Her time in Madison was joyful and she found pleasure in being with the family on every occasion, whether it be Diwali, Thanksgiving, Halloween or Christmas.

Sneh is survived and deeply mourned by her husband Om.
