Sing Y. Yan, 84, of Madison, Wisconsin, died Wednesday February 13, 2013.
He was born in China April 29, 1929 to the late Chun Cha Tau and Hui Yan.
Sing began his career as a police officer for the Hong Kong Police Department. He immigrated to the USA spring of 1964 with his young family and supportive mother. His entrepreneurial passion coupled with market opportunity earned him retirement as a business owner.
Sing is survived by four children, Sue Yan, So (Louis) Chiang, Siu (Lian) Yan and Warren Yan; four grandchildren, Nicole and Calvin Chiang, Christina and Alex Yan; a sister, Wai Young; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 18 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery.
