Shirley Natvig

Shirley J. Natvig, age 79, of Stoughton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at her apartment in Stoughton. She was born on April 8, 1933, at Stoughton Hospital, the daughter of Elliott and Permelia Thompson. She married Philip M. Natvig on Feb. 23, 1952. Shirley graduated from Stoughton High School in 1951. She worked in the kitchen of the Nazareth House. She owned Cheers Tavern in Randolph for 10 years. Shirley was a storyteller, and loved to read. She loved to play cards, especially Euchre. She loved cross stitching. She hated cooking but loved having lunch with her kids or Grandkids. Shirley is survived by her children; daughter, Pam (Dan) Sigurslid; son, Brad E. Natvig (Anita); daughter, Tamara (John) Carey; grandchildren; Philip Sigurslid, Kristi (Chris) Paskey, Heidi (Paul) Hoffman, Luke (Amanda) Natvig, Pete Natvig, Carly Natvig, Amanda (Brian) Brown, Blake (Tina) Van Fossen, Megan Larson; and great-grandchildren, all of which she lived and breathed for. She is further survived by a sister, Darlene Finneran, brothers-in-law, Gerald Natvig and Bob Marsden; niece Tracy and nephews R.J. and Timmy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Permelia Thompson; sister Della (Bob) Marsden; and her husband Philip "The Legend" Natvig. A celebration of life is being held at Nora's 2 in Deerfield on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 at 11am.
