Stoughton- Shirley Anne Drenkhahn, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Skaalen Home in Stoughton. She was born in Madison on January 27, 1936, a daughter of Austin and Sadie (Bingham) Riddle. On May 10, 1953, she was united in marriage to William Drenkhahn in Paw Paw, Michigan. Shirley and Bill lived all over the U.S. and overseas while Bill was in the Air Force, residing in the Edgerton area starting in 1972, and in Stoughton since 1992. She loved flowers and animals, especially birds; and enjoyed raising horses. Shirley collected antiques and frequented auctions. She also enjoyed visiting Ho-Chunk. She is remembered as a supportive partner to her husband, and a wonderful mother and wife. She is survived by her husband, Bill; son, Gregory (Jill) Drenkhahn; 2 daughters, Vickie Doss and Pamela (Michael) West; 5 grandchildren, Tera, Heather, Jimmy, Cassie and Franco; 6 great grandchildren, Beau, Gregory, Rhea, Kaitlin, Abigail, and Ace; 2 sisters, Arlene Pauley and Karen Santos; 2 brothers, Dennis (Brenda) and Jeff (Shelley) Riddle; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janet; son-in-law, Clay Doss; brother, Larry Riddle; and brothers-in-law, Tony Santos and Wayne Pauley. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, with Pastor Ron Dobie officiating. The family will greet friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Following services, a luncheon reception will be held at the Stoughton VFW Hall.
