Sheryl L. Lippitt

Sheryl L. (Sheri) Lippitt, age 62, of Waunakee, passed away on April 21, 2026 in Middleton, WI. She was born in Wisconsin Rapids to Eugene and Janice (Saeger) Zager. On September 2, 2001 she married Gary Lippitt.

Sheri was a longtime, active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee.

She attended and graduated from UW La Crosse. During college, one of her favorite memories was playing clarinet in the band and marching in the Orange Bowl parade.

Sheri enjoyed a successful career as an actuary at Madison National Life Insurance Company where she worked for many years.

She was an avid UW Badger football and hockey fan and went to as many games as she could. But those games took a backseat to watching the girls compete in their sports.

She also loved anything Disney related and spent many fun vacations at Disney World.

Sheri liked to travel, especially to places that had a beach, beautiful sunsets, and fun food. Caribbean cruises were a favorite, but many other places were visited as well.

She also enjoyed camping and Sera Park was a favorite place to go. Many fond memories were made around evening campfires.

Sheri learned how to decorate cakes and loved creating some special ones for birthdays. She was also a huge fan of mysteries, with Agatha Christie as her favorite author and “Murder She Wrote” as her favorite show.

Sheri is survived by her loving husband, Gary; daughters Laura and Amy; stepson Graydon (Natasha), stepgrandchildren Quinton, Rowan, and Marleau; father, Eugene; brother, Greg (Shelly); niece, Kayla; nephew, Justin; and other relatives and friends.

Sheri was preceded in death by her mother, Janice; her stepdaughter, Jenifer; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace .Lutheran Church 701 S. Century Ave, Waunakee. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 until the time of services. Burial will take place in Vienna Cemetery.

Sheri brought love into our lives and we will forever cherish our time together. She will be sadly missed.
