Sheila Beth Stokstad, passed away on 05/28/2024 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on April 26, 1950 in Madison and grew up on her family’s farm in Cottage Grove. Sheila graduated from Stoughton High School in 1968, school is where she met her husband John, “a city boy”.
Sheila’s love for cooking allowed her to joyfully feed and entertain her friends and family, always asking, “Would you like some more?” She never wanted anyone to leave hungry. She enjoyed spending time with her cousins for breakfasts, staying connected with new and established friends via Facebook, occasionally getting together with her “hen” friends and playing bingo.
Sheila is survived by her husband John, sons Michael (Jenifer), Matthew (Michelle Tjugum), grandchildren, Keeton Stokstad, Sydney Tjugum, Alexandra (Blaine) Morrison, Payton (Tim Stenner) Faircloth, Zachary Barber, as well as her 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jeff (Sue) Natvig, sister Barbie Gowan, brother in laws; Dan (Deb) Stokstad, Brow Stokstad, and sister-in-law Sara (Butch) Parr, as well as many loved nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Stella.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents Roger and Shirley Natvig, father and mother-in-law Douglas and Shirley Stokstad, her nephew Aaron Stokstad.
A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 2-4 pm at The American Legion in Stoughton (803 N Page St, Stoughton WI 53589)
