Sharon Pulvermacher

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sharon Minter that lived with her loving family of 6 in Madison, Wisconsin. Her parents, Dorothy and Robert, had four beautiful kids, Nancy, Sharon, Don, and Marlene. This family had all the love in the world and knew what it was like to be a close family until one day when Sharon was 11, her mother passed away. The happy family was heartbroken. However, they continued to stand together and share in the love they had for one another, but it was hard without a mother. A few years later, Sharon's father remarried and the family was whole again even if things were still different.

At 19 years old, Sharon met her Prince Charming, Steve Pulvermacher, at Rusty's beer bar. He asked her to dance and they had been inseparable ever since. Love at first sight. This is when her true love story began. It was all downhill from there. First was the engagement, then the pregnancy, and the best part was their marriage on April 11th, 1970. The couple had gone on to have 3 beautiful daughters despite the doctors' concerns about Sharon not being able to conceive. Julie was the oldest born in 1970, four years later came Nicole in 1974, and last, but not least, came April in 1985. Sharon was also blessed with 2 amazing grandchildren, Dontay and Bella, as well as 4 precious great-grandchildren, Danari, Amiyah, Abriya, and Romeo. During that time, Sharon worked at Piggly Wiggly in Waunakee for over 20 years. She enjoyed talking with the customers and always had a smile on her face. She also loved baking, traveling and trying new things with her husband. They had agreed from the moment they got married, they would try all new adventures together, and they did just that. Between ice racing, hunting, fishing, traveling, pool, their new spiritual and healing paths, and even corn hole (bean bags), they experienced everything together. Inseparable.

As with any fairytale, there were ups and downs. They had survived deaths of loved ones such as Sharon's father and brother and Steve's mother. They also had their challenges just like any other family, but they leaned on each other and became closer instead of letting it drive them apart. Their love was enchanted and something to aspire to.

It wasn't until September of 2017 that she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She had spent that last days of her life surrounded by her husband and daughters in the comfort of her own home. She passed on the morning of November 5th, 2017, with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South Street, Waunakee. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the United In Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Morrisonville at 3:00 p.m.
