Sharon Jewell

MADISON - Sharon Rae Jewell, age 71, passed away peacefully in her home on Mon. April 25, 2016. She was born Feb. 2, 1945 in Portage. Sharon was raised by her mother Evelyn and step father Walter Koch. She is a graduate of Portage Public School, and also received an Associate's Degree from MATC in marketing. She married Donald "Dick" Jewell on Oct. 21, 1978 in St. John's Lutheran Church in Portage. Sharon worked for many years as a secretarial professional with the State of Wisconsin before retiring in 2004.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 37 years Donald "Dick" Jewell, her sons Michael (Valerie) Jewell, Clark Jewell, and Sam (Natalie) Hatmaker, 5 grandchildren, and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wed. May 4, 2016 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison with Rev. Philip Moldenhauer presiding. A visitation will be from 3:00 PM until the service at the funeral home on Wed.
