Sharolyn S. LaFlash

Deerfield- Sharolyn LaFlash, age 78, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Nazareth Health and Rehab in Stoughton. She was born in Lake Mills on October 30, 1945, the daughter of Roger and Shirley Krueger.

Shari grew up in Deerfield and graduated from Deerfield High School in 1963. She worked at 3F Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Madison for many years. Shari married John LaFlash on November 21, 1986. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1999.

Shari loved to play euchre, complete word and jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed her time spent as a part of the Deerfield Women’s Bowling League. She enjoyed watching the Brewers, Bucks, Badgers, and Packers. Shari had a special spot in her heart for cats, lastly Jordan and Libbie.

Shari is survived by her four sisters, Sally of Covington, VA, and Betty (Jeff) Frutiger, Jeanne (Dennis) Gassen and Robbi (Tim) Delany, all of Deerfield; nieces and nephews, Wendy (Tommy) Meeks and Shannon (Timmy) Porterfield of Covington, VA, Kelly Scott (Daina) of Stoughton, Sara Gassen (Michelle) of Janesville, Mike Gassen (Keleigh) of Deerfield, Quinn Delany (Michelle) of Madison, Erin Delany of Milwaukee; great nieces and nephews, Tori Meeks, Noah, Hannah and Brenden Porterfield, Cherish and Alina Scott, Kevari Allen, Keaston and Kaydia Gassen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother-in-law, Pete Nicely; and nephew, Leonard Niecely III.

Private graveside services will be held in Resurrection Cemetery in Madison.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Rail House, 12 S. Industrial Park Road, Deerfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shari’s name to Nazareth Health and Rehab Center, or St. Croix Hospice of Madison.
