Shane "Tiny" Julson

February 26, 1977 — August 28, 2022

DeForest

Shane M. “Tiny” Julson, age 45, of DeForest, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born February 26, 1977, the son of Irene Roudebush and James Julson. He married Heather Christianson on November 2, 2019. He was a graduate of Waunakee High School Class of 1995. Shane was employed by Webcrafters for 25 years as a material handler. He enjoyed keeping busy and worked many part-time jobs throughout the years, with his favorite being a roadie for Madison County.

He was a life member of the Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club and enjoyed participating in the sawmill at the annual show. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved the yearly trip to deer camp in Big Flats, and was an enthusiast of all things fishing, a happy pastime he and Heather shared. It was not at all unusual for his phone to ring with a buddy asking where the fish were biting. He loved music, especially live music. He and Heather took many road trips to see their favorite country artists.

Shane had a huge and loving heart, always there to help his family and friends at a moment’s notice. He is survived by his wife, Heather; sister, Shannon Julson of Waunakee; step-father, Nate Stoll of Waunakee; step-sisters, Pam Stoll of Waunakee, Peggy (Rick) Curkeet of Waunakee, Cindy (Fred) Gregory of Brighton, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Jamie (John Philipp) Christianson of Baraboo, Kimbra (Jason) Pierce of Oregon; aunt, Audrey (Mike) DeWitt of Waunakee; uncles, Glen (Carla) Roudebush of Lodi, David Roudebush of Waunakee, Steven (Joanne) Roudebush of Middleton. Shane had a large extended family whom he loved dearly and cherished close relationships with his cousins. He leaves behind a huge circle of friends that were always more like family.

In addition to his parents, Shane was preceded in death by his step-brother, Ted Stoll; maternal and paternal grandparents; and uncle, Vernon “Pete” Roudebush.

Private family burial will take place at a later date. There will be a celebration of Shane’s life on September 11, 2022 at Whippoorwill, 7914 Wisconsin Highway 19, Dane, Wisconsin 53529 from 2:00-5:00 pm. In honor of Shane, please wear his favorite color, green, if you are able.
