Scot Soderling

Scot A. Soderling, age 52 of Sun Parire, Wisconsin passed away on Monday January 26, 2015 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Scot was born on April 11, 1962 to James G. and V. Marie (Benson) Soderling. He was raised in Mauston, Wisconsin where he attended Mauston High School-class of 1980.
On December 3, 1986 Scot and Hanna (Miller) Schmidt became the proud parents of Jamie Scot Soderling. Scot was a compassionate father who taught his son and others unconditional love and the strength of forgiveness.

Scot attended Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he attained a MT degree and worked in that practice for many years.
Scot was a generous, kind hearted man with a fantastic sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping and spending valued time with his large, loving family. Scot's greatest passion was music. His rock star ability to entertain on a drum set was exceptional.
Although Scot's time was cut short on earth, there is a great comfort knowing that he is in God's loving care now.

Scot is survived by his son; Jamie and wife Mariah (Christensen) Soderling of New Lisbon, God also blessed him with meeting his precious twin grandchildren Jude Robert Vidar and Bryleigh Blue Soderling born on November 19, 2014. He is survived by his mother, Marie Soderling and his siblings Pamela Ward (Ed), Debbie Anderson ( Dick), Michael Soderling (Chris), and Mark Soderling. Scot was preceded in death by his Father James Soderling and his paternal grandparents (Gustave and Emma) and his maternal grandparents, Carl and Velma Benson.


He is also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

Memorial services will be held at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 701 Grove Street, Mauston, WI on Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the UW Madison Palliative Care Unit - Madison, Wisconsin, the St. Jude Children's Hospital and Renal Cell research foundation.
