Sandra Lynn Andersen, 72, of Sun Prairie passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Unity Point Health – Meriter in Madison.

Sandy was born on March 13, 1954 in Madison to George and Violet (Bedward) Andersen. She graduated from Madison East High School in 1972 and later earned an Associate degree in Business Administration Accounting from MATC. Sandy worked for Cuna Mutual for 35 years and retired in 2008.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, going to garage sales, and especially spending time with her dogs.

Sandy is survived by her brothers, Richard (Debbie) Andersen of Sun Prairie, Mark Andersen of Madison; nieces and nephews, Melissa, Melanie, Steven, Jason, Christina, Everett; and special cousins, Carolyn Matney, Linda Williamson, and many others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Violet Andersen.

A funeral service will take place at 11AM on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Cress Funeral Service, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590. A visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of service. A burial will take place at 1PM on Monday, August 10, 2026 at Sunset Memory Gardens.
