Sally Anderson

Stoughton- Sally A. Anderson, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home. She was born on October 9, 1928, the daughter of Stephen and Frances Hart. On May 25, 1946 Sally married Kenneth O. Anderson. Sally was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her family. She cared for foster children for a few years, first with infants and then older children. Sally became full time caretaker for her husband through his struggles with diabetes. She was creative and good with her hands and could crochet, knit or sew just about anything. Throughout her life Sally was always involved with a project. She enjoyed putting together giant puzzles and playing word games. Socially Sally enjoyed going out to eat and playing board games with friends. She loved animals, especially bird watching, and gardening and indoor plants, especially African Violets. Sally will be deeply missed and is survived by her daughter, Karen; granddaughter, Laurie; great grandchildren, Celia and Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; and her sister, Marilyn. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Riverside Cemetery, 821 S. Page Street, Stoughton, with Rev. Richard Halom officiating. Memorials may be made to Stoughton Senior Center. Please share your memories of Sally.
