Russell Edmund Statz, age 72, Waunakee.

May 1, 2007 retired from a hard life crushing rock in the gravel pit.   I call him “my Fred Flintstone.”   December 25, 2007, his life changed with a roller coaster of health issues … continuing on through these past 16 years. “Razzle” has lived a # of 9 Lives; always bouncing back. This past hospital stay took its toll on his body. Once the machines were turned off Mr. Russell took a few breaths on his own. Russ then died at 4:32 pm Monday, June 10, 2024; Holding tightly the hand of his wife, Deb Endres.    Razzle B Dazzle is now among the clouds walking freely with no back pain.  He proudly was a veteran of the US Army; serving stateside March 1971 – February 1973.  Per Russ’s wishes no formal funeral will be held.   A celebration of life along with Russ’s 73^rd birthday (August 26, 1951) will take place at the America Legion Hall, 417 E. Main St. Waunakee, on FRIDAY night August 23, 2024 beginning at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Lower level entrance. Military rites will be held at 5:30p.m.  Siblings, Our Children, Our Grandchildren, cousins, friends, his wife & Mikey, the cat, already miss him.
