Russell David Albrecht (65) of Afton, Wyoming passed away on July 19, 2025. He was born on January 9,1960 in Madison, Wisconsin to Charles Albrecht and Margaret (Hane) Albrecht both deceased. Sister Cindy and brother Rick also preceded him in death. He will be remembered as a devoted father, passionate advocate for children’s welfare, and an ordained minister. His ordination took place January 17,2010 upon the completion of his seminary degree in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Russ was a skilled craftsman and mechanic enjoying driving trucks, racing motorcycles, and flying airplanes which included search and rescue work with the Civil Air Patrol. As a dedicated member of BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) in Oklahoma and Wyoming, he served as the chapters’ chaplain. He embraced BACA’s mission to create safe environments for abused children.
Russ is survived by his son Boris of Tulsa, Oklahoma who was the love of his life. He is also survived by his sister Connie Albrecht of Sedro Woolley, Washington, brother Robby Albrecht of Bellingham, Washington, and brother Randy Albrecht of Minocqua, Wisconsin, as well as cousins Kris (Randy) Shorr of Verona, Wisconsin and Sue (John) Murray of Wanakee, Wisconsin in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16 at 2:30 p.m. with visitation following at Cress Funeral Home, 6021 University Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Bikers Against Child Abuse in Russ Albrecht’s memory at P.O Box 911, Pryor, Oklahoma 74362.
