Ruben Hoff

Stoughton- Ruben Hoff, age 96, passed on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Nazareth Health & Rehab. He was born in Stoughton on May 22, 1918 the son of Carl and Louise Hoff. Ruben worked for Tilsen Roofing of Madison for over 40 years, and completed many of the roofs in the Stoughton and Madison area. On June 8, 1957 he married Marion (nee Lincoln) Edge. Ruben enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, and tending to his vegetable and flower gardens. He was a wonderful cook and an avid fan of the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. Most of all Ruben enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Ginny Hoff (Sally Klossner); Marion's children, Patricia Easland, Sonny (Shirley) Edge, Gary (Caty) Edge; 24 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Billy Hoff; and many nieces and nephews. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion, on January 28, 1988; Marion's children, Linda Gullickson, Theresa Winkler, Peter Edge and Sandra Emerson; and 10 siblings. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of services Monday at Cress. Ruben will be laid to rest beside his wife in Blooming Grove Cemetery.
