Rosemary Jozefowski

STOUGHTON-Rosemary "Rosie" Jozefowski ( Lovett) passed away on Monday, September 12, 2016 at the age of 86. She was born on March 5, 1930 in Croydon, England, the daughter of Christopher Lovett and Phoebe Lovett (Smith). Rosemary married Leon B. Jozefowski in London, England, and they were married for 59 years.

Rosie was born and raised in Croydon, England. She met Leon at age 21 and was married to him 6 months later at age 22. They moved to Toronto, Canada and then to Chicago, Illinois. Their 3 children were born in Chicago. They lived in various states including Washington, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Rosie was a stay at home mom and housewife. She also worked part-time jobs including receptionist, switch board operator and customer service person at Hartford City Hall in Hartford, WI as well as a cook for Rock Valley College in Rockford, Illinois.

Everyone who came in contact loved her sense of humor and ability to be the life of the party. She missed her family in England and often went back to visit them. She enjoyed gardening and having friends and family visit her home.

Her survivors include her children Stephen Jozefowski (Beata), Terry Jozefowski, and Leann Jozefowski; grandchildren Alex Jozefowski, Eric Jozefowski, Christopher Varney, Gretchen Rudersdorf, Audrey Rudersdorf, Stellan Larsson, and Leo Larsson; one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Leon B. Jozefowski, parents Christopher and Phoebe (Smith) Lovett, sister Phoebe Naldrett, and brothers Jimmy Lovett and Christopher (Tibby) Lovett.

Friends and family will gather to honor Rosie's life with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 a.m. at St. Ann's- Nazareth House Chapel, 814 Jackson Street., Stoughton, WI on Saturday September 17, 2016.
