Rose Rice

Stoughton- Rose Elizabeth Rice, passed away on May 25, 2015 at the Harmony Living Center. She was born on July 6, 1939 to Clarence and Scholastica (Weichert) Schwarz in Dane, Wisconsin where she also grew up. She was a single mother to Linda and Debbie and was a very dedicated and supportive "horse show mom." One of her favorite things was going to horse shows every weekend where many lifelong friendships were made. Due to her avid love for animals, she became a supporter of the ASPCA. Along with animals, she loved NASCAR and Tractor Pulls.

Along with her parents, Rose was preceded by her partner for life, Sylvester Haag.

Rose is survived by her daughters, Linda (Terry) Calkins and Debbie Rice as well as many family and friends.

Family will receive friends, Saturday May 30, 2015 from 10am to 11am at Cress Funeral & Cremation Service, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, with services to follow at 11am. Burial to be held at Highland Memory Gardens on Friday June 5, 2015 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Humane Society/ animal shelter or Agrace Hospice.
