Rosalind Zerofsky

Rosalind Zerofsky passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2 at the age of 64.

Rosalind was born on April 30, 1949 in Milwaukee. She attended UW Madison, graduating with a BA in psychology. She moved to Philadelphia and obtained an MA in clinical psychology at Temple University. She then returned to Madison where she worked for CUNA as director of market research, conducting the first national member survey. She then founded her own market research firm, serving credit unions. She later went back to school and earned another master's degree in education, and went on to teach courses in career education for many years at Edgewood College in Madison, WI, helping students to determine their interests and successfully pursue their career goals. She also taught students one-on-one in the Madison public school system who could not attend classes for many different reasons.

Rosalind was passionate about cooking, and loved entertaining friends in her home. She enjoyed experimenting with recipes and developing new dishes that were both gourmet and healthy. Her love for French culture led to many trips to France, and she later started a small crepe business called Breton Crepe.

Rosalind loved the arts, and was an active member of the WYSO board of directors for many years. She helped develop the Rabin Youth Arts Awards program. She actively volunteered with the Madison Ballet and the Richard Davis Foundation for Young Bassists.

Rosalind was a voracious reader and passionate traveller. She is survived by her husband, Ron; daughters, Melissa and Elisabeth; sister, Shelley Gordon; mother, Faye Gordon; and many other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 5th, at Temple Beth El, 2702 Arbor Drive, Madison.
