Rosalie Ruth Miller

Rosalie Ruth (Clary) Miller beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away at UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin on July 21, 2023.  She was 76 years old.  Rosalie was born on June 28, 1947, in Plain, Wisconsin, to the late Joseph D. Clary and the late Iris M. Jones.

Rosalie graduated from River Valley High School.  She worked for Minnesota Mutual Life for many years.

In her free time Rosalie enjoyed drawing, reading, bowling and crocheting just to name a few of her past time activities.  Rosalie was known by her family as a fun loving, faithful, and as a person that loved to laugh.  She cherished and loved her grandchildren.

Rosalie is survived by her 2 daughters: Barb (Kevin) Friedli, Karyn (Fred) Hinkel; 5 grandchildren: Logan and Cade Friedli, Eric (Noelle) Hinkel, Paul, Adam (Mindy) Hinkel and 1 great grandson: Liam.  Rosalie is also survived by 6 siblings: Iris Howell, Emma (Bob) Needham, John (Kris) Clary, Alois (Mary) Clary, Joanne Baker and Elizabeth Radel.

Rosalie was preceded in death by both of her parents and 4 siblings: Harvey, Bill, Ted, Claude Clary.

A visitation for Rosalie will be held on Friday July 28, 2023, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Cress Funeral Home in Sun Prairie (1310 Emerald Terrace Sun Prairie, WI 53590).  Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held starting at 3:00pm. 

She Is Gone

You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her, or you can be full of the love that you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
