Madison: Ronald Roy Nickels, age 72, passed away at home on April 17, 2018. He was born July 7, 1946 the son of Emmett and Naomi (Brooks) Nickels in St. Louis Missouri. He grew up and lived in Cahokia, IL, and moved to Wisconsin in 1987. Ron enjoyed Shakespeare, both reading his writings, and attending plays. He was interested in all the arts. He was employed as a custodian at the UW Physical Plant until his retirement. He is survived by his Mother; Naomi, Brothers; Gary Nickels, and Richard (Dianna) Nickels, and good friend, Jason Hackett. He was preceded in death by his father, Emmett Nickels. Private family services will be held. Please share your memories of Ron.
