Ronald J. Jesberger

Ronald J. Jesberger, age 84, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023.  Ron was born on September 19, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin to Roman and Estella (Scheuerell) Jesberger.

Ron was the owner of Jess’s Corner tavern in downtown Sun Prairie from the early 80’s to early 90’s, and he was the owner of Jess’s Corner softball team.  In addition to the bar, Ron was an accomplished journeyman plumber and worked for many years for Muller Plumbing and Fitchburg Plumbing.  He was always ready to help out a friend or neighbor with any plumbing needs.

In his free time, Ron enjoyed a good round of golf or supporting his Wisconsin Badgers.  He was a member of the Grid Iron Club and loved supporting the Wisconsin Badger football.  Ron was also a member of the Sun Prairie Lion’s Club.

Ron is survived by his children: Nicole (Cory) Rowell and Tory Jesberger; and grandchildren: Brenden, Rylan, and Kelsey Rowell.  He is further survived by his siblings Dorothy Suchomel, Leo (Dee) Jesberger, and Paul (Mary) Jesberger; and many other friends and relatives.  Ron was preceded in death by his wife Janet; siblings Ann (Richard) King and Barbara Jesberger; and brother-in-law Lyle Suchomel. Ron will also be missed by his companion and buddy, Bongo.

Visitation will be from 1-3:00 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 with a Memorial Service to begin at 3:00 PM.  

The family wishes to thank the entire staff of the Sun Prairie Health Care Center for all their care and compassion for Ron and his family.  Memories in Ron’s honor are welcome to the Sun Prairie Health Care Center.
