Ronald Jahr

August 7, 1932 — August 8, 2015

WATERLOO / CROSS PLAINS - Ronald L. Jahr (Ronnie), age 83, passed away peacefully at his home, Aug. 8, 2015, while listening to his classic country music and being able to watch the beauties of nature outdoors. Ronnie was born on August 7, 1932 at home in rural Blair, Trempealeau County, son of Leonard and Lilllian (Bergum) Jahr. He was united in marriage to Carolyn (Panzer) Radloff on October 9, 1982.

Ronnie graduated from Cuba City High School in 1950. Shortly after graduation, he began working at Oscar Mayer and retiring from there with 32 years of service at the age of 50. Shortly thereafter, he began driving school bus for early childhood and special needs children of the Sun Prairie School District, retiring again in 1995. He really enjoyed the years with all the little ones.

Ronnie was a lifetime member of the NRA and North Bristol Sportsmans Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His biggest thrill was bagging a trophy buck after more than 60 years of hunting. He was also a member of VGTCOA (Vintage Garden Tractor Club of America). Ronnie had a great memory; all who knew him will never forget his fantastic memory of dates and information.

He enjoyed following the local athletes from youth age through college, especially the grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Another enjoyment was attending and following the local stock car races and Nascar races, especially Matt Kenseth. He also attended various toy and antique power shows, looking for that special treasure.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Carolyn; son, Daniel (Debbie) Jahr of Appleton, daughters, Sharon Kuehn of Madison, Sandra Jo Jahr of Madison, Randal (Chris) Radloff of Waterloo, Richard Radloff of Waterloo, Michael (Keri) Radloff of Waterloo and Karen (David) Nonn of Luxemburg; grandchildren, Eric (Samantha) Jahr of Clarksville TN, Michael (Katie Fleischmann) Jahr of Rhinelander, Timothy (Monica Marquez) Jahr of Appleton and Steve (Dana) Jahr of Kaukauna, Shana (Noyan) Miah of Madison, Sarah (Joe Clough) Radloff of Waterloo, Marc (Jennifer) Radloff of Watertown, Ryan (Amanda) Radloff of Waterloo, Jennifer Radloff of Waterloo, Jamie (Thom Hellenbrand) Radloff of Windsor, Kevin (Lindsay Kirchoff) Radloff of Waterloo, Rachel Radloff of Fort Wayne, IN, Kelli (Scott) Nelson of Verona, Michelle Radloff of Waukesha, Andrew Radloff of Eau Claire, Dawson Nonn of Luxemburg and Nicole Nonn of Luxemburg; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Alex, Jordan, Keagan, Brody, Jordan, Harli, Zachary, Levi, Harper, Candace, Henry and another due anyday, brothers-in-laws Jim (Pat) Panzer of Indianapolis IN, Norm (Linda) Panzer of Fort Atkinson, Wesley (Dianne) Panzer of LaCrosse and sister-in-law Mary Panzer of Buffalo MO; and many loving nieces and nephews.
