Texas/Madison - Ronald R. Hughes, age 72, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 10, 1942 in Madison, the son of Raymond and Dorothy (Peck) Hughes. Since 2014, Ronald has resided in Texas, prior to that he was a Madison area resident. On August 12, 1961, Ronald was united in marriage to Elaine Sams at Bethesda Church, Madison. In 2004, Ronald retired as a master plumber. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and was an avid Packer fan.

Ronald is survived by his wife; Elaine of Cibolo, TX, five daughters; Lorie (Scott) Fuller of Birchdale, MN, Linda (Rick) Wells of Sun Prairie, Lynette Hughes of Chesapeake, VA, Ronda Ramsay of San Antonio, TX, and Debbie (Dan) Harper of Cibolo, TX, 14 grandchildren; Scotty (Christina), David (Karissa), Diana (Steve), Mark, Kelvin (Brooke), Cody, Michael, Lychelle (Corey), Kaleb (Jackie), Elaina, Hannah, Levi, Jakin and Abigail, eight great grandchildren; Nadia, Mylla, Macey, Bradley, Logan, Blake, Hunter and Abel, his mother; Dorothy Hughes of Delaware, OH and his sister; Sandra (Ken) Wells of Fruitland Park, FL. Ronald was preceded in death by his father and five siblings; Larry, Linda, Sharon, Renee and Raymond.

Funeral services will be held at CALVARY GOSPEL CHURCH, 5301 Commercial Ave., Madison on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 10:30 am with Pastor Richard Corning officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of services. Graveside services will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
