Ronald Bowers

Ronald K. Bowers , Sr. age 79 of Cottage Grove, WI, passed away on June 21, 2015 with his family at his side after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 8, 1936 in Athol, Massachusetts, to Charles and Marjorie Bowers. He moved to Wisconsin in 1970 where he married his wife of 42 years, Mary Lou Bowers. Ronald was an owner/operator truck driver for 45 years. He drove over-the-road for Overnight Express for 25 of those 42 years and covered the US from coast to coast.

Ronald is survived by his wife Mary Lou Bowers, seven children - Ronald (Fran) Bowers, Troy (Karen) Griffin, Denise Donaldson, Rhonda (Tracey) Garron, Vonda Brannen, Cory Griffin, Felicia (Jim) Schoenenberger, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Marjorie Bowers and daughter Debbie Gray.
There will be a celebration of life and open house held on Saturday June 27th from 1 PM to 4 PM in the home of Jim and Felicia Schoenenberger at 3726 Mandimus Court, Middleton. All friends and family are welcome. A family graveside service will be held in Spooner at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ronald's long-time primary care nurse Nettie at GHC Clinic in East Terrace for going above and beyond in the care and support she has provided to both Ron and Mary Lou over the years.

We would also like to thank the social workers and nurses at Agrace Hospice Care, Inc for the exceptional support and care they provided to Ron. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be sent to Agrace Hospice Care, Inc, 5395 E Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.
