Ronald Alan Amerson

Ronald A. Amerson, 71, of Sun Prairie passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home.

Ron was born on November 22, 1953 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Alvin and Mae (Erickson) Amerson.

He lived in Beloit until he graduated from Beloit High School in 1971. He went to school for Accounting at UW Whitewater.

Ron was a Senior Accountant - Budget Planning and Analysis at University of Wisconsin until he retired in 2018.

Ron and Le were married in Beloit, WI on December 27, 1986. They lived in Sun Prairie, WI for their married life.

Ron is survived by his wife, Leanne Amerson; Tara Emery-Walls, Shawn Emery, (Sasha), Taylor Jo Emery and boys and Zach Walls.

He is preceded in death by his brother Richard, his father Alvin and his mother Mae. Also Aunt Pearle.

He was a big Cubs fan. He enjoyed going to Cub games in Chicago and in Milwaukee. He would watch the Cubs on TV when he was he was unable to go to games.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Agrace Hospice or a charity of one’s choice.

An Evening visitation will take place from 4PM until 7PM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Cress Funeral Service in Sun Prairie. A private burial will be later.
