Ronald “Ron” Raymond Acker, 75, of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin, passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer on June 4, 2026.

Ron was born on July 14, 1950, in Ashton, Wisconsin, to Gregory Acker and Marilyn (Maier) Acker.

He was a father to three children: Rhonda (Jon Paul) McGettigan, Troy (Maya) Acker, and Melissa Acker, and a proud grandfather to six grandchildren, who brought him great joy and pride, spending many hours on the lake.

Ron is also survived by four of his five siblings: Carolyn (Jerome) Maier, Jean (Butch) Hensen, Shirley Acker, and Reginald (Lynn) Acker, along with extended family and friends who will remember him in their own special ways. He was proceeded in death by one sibling Judy (Ronald) Marx, as well as his parents, Gregory and Marilyn Acker.

Over the course of his life, Ron had three life partners; Linda Haag (LeCoultre), mother of his children, Lynn Nachreiner (Acker) and Jean Herrington. Each chapter reflects different seasons of his life and the connections he made along the way.

Ron’s extensive HVAC Mechanical career started working in the field to co-owning an HVAC/Mechanical Business. From there, he went on to work with other HVAC/Mechanical companies making them more successful. Additionally, Ron and his family have also been proud of the 11 years he spent on the Waunakee volunteer fire department.

Ron will be remembered for his high intelligence and fair demeanor. He approached life with thoughtfulness and a steady sense of perspective, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him. He was courageous and adaptable, and his presence will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the opportunity to know him.
