MADISON - Roger H. Dobrick, age 65, of Madison, passed away Monday, July 27, at The Villa at Middleton Village. Roger was born February 1, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI to Leonard and Anita (nee Rubin) Dobrick. He attended University of Wisconsin Madison where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. Roger was a radio announcer with a "golden voice", who later became a station manager with Public Radio and WYMS "Radio Milwaukee".
In his free time Mr. Dobrick enjoyed blogging, engaging in spirited debate, operating a HAM radio, was a classical films buff, and was a purveyor of classical music and jazz. Roger was a proud lifelong Socialist Democrat, whose family will always remember his sense of humor.
Mr. Dobrick is survived by his wife, Marcia, of Madison; his daughter, Mariessa Anne Dobrick, of Barre, VT; and his brother, Dennis F., of Boca Raton, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Roger's Life will be held Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 1 pm at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI. Friends and family may call from Noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bet Olamin Cemetery.
