Roger Bovre

Stoughton- Roger B. Bovre age 78, passed away peacefully at Agrace HospiceCare, March 19, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born November 16, 1933 in Stoughton, son of Albert and Mabel (Erdahl) Bovre. Roger served in the Navy (1953) and the Army (1954). He married Donna Jean Grossman in April 1958. Roger was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being "The Handy Man" and spending time with his family. Roger loved Lake Kegonsa where he lived for most of his life. He is survived by his son, Randy (Sue) Bovre; daughter, Diane(Henry) Halverson; son-in-law, Laverne Christianson; grandchildren, Andrew Joetnick, Heather (Dan), Misty (Dan) and Jeremy(Christine) Halverson, Amanda (Jake) Weisensel and Amber Bovre; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Reinstad; sister-in-law, Ruthie Bovre; many nieces and nephews; and great friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; daughter, Renee Bovre; brothers, John and Arnold; brothers-in-law, Orlow Notstad and Obert Reinstad; sister, Marion Notstad; and sister-in-law, Pearl Bovre. A private burial service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Agrace HospiceCare.
