Robert John Schneider, of Sun Prairie and formerly of Greenfield, Wisconsin, passed away on August 15, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, devotion, and countless cherished memories.
Bob retired after a dedicated career as a Vehicle Fleet Manager for the United States Postal Service. Gifted in more ways than could ever be counted, he had a remarkable ability to understand how things worked and bring ideas to life. Whether he was repairing something mechanical, building, creating, or woodworking, Robert approached every project with skill, care, and ingenuity. To those fortunate enough to know him, he was the trusted go-to resource—the person you called when you needed advice, a helping hand, or a solution no one else could find.
Above all, Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He was the devoted husband and best friend of Connie Schneider (nee Wagner), the amazing father of Michelle (Joel) Holliday and Amy (Thomas) Moore, and the world’s best grandfather to Meghan Holliday (Alicen Rushevics) and Alexis Holliday. His love was steady, generous, and unmistakable, and his family will forever carry with them the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the comfort of knowing how deeply they were loved.
Bob was the beloved son of the late Robert and Irene Schneider and brother of the late Thomas Schneider. He was a dear brother-in-law to Jimmy and Diane Wagner and Angela Schneider. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, extended family members, and treasured friends, including his lifelong friends Michael and the late Joyce Williams.
Robert will be remembered for his capable hands, generous heart, quiet wisdom, and unwavering willingness to help others. His talents were many, but the greatest gift he gave was himself—to his family, his friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated and will be donated in Bob’s name to his favorite charities.
A funeral service will take place at 11:30AM on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie. A visitation will take place from 9:30AM until the time of service. A burial will take place on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
