Robert Laufenberg

Waunakee - Robert A. Laufenberg, age 79, passed away at home with his family by his side on Sunday, April 12, 2015.
He was born on August 15, 1935 in Martinsville, the son of Peter C. and Gertrude (Endres) Laufenberg. On June 25, 1955 Bob was united in marriage to Ramona M. Leykauf at St. Aloysius Church in Sauk City.
Bob worked at Oscar Mayer for 38 years and retired and then joined Quality Machining for 22 years. He had a very strong work ethic and was not one to pass the day away without being engaged in some purposeful activity. Bob loved to be outside working in his yard and on his home. He was a man of few words, but his hands spoke for him.
In his spare time Bob and Mona enjoyed their weekends at their trailer in Adams County along with their children, families and friends. Many memories were made over the 40 years of their "Up North" get-a-ways.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mona, and his five children, Dennis (Donna) Laufenberg, Laura (Pat) Tody, Darlene (Chuck) Endres, Allan (Mary) Laufenberg, LeAnne (Wayne) Haefer, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Loretta Nordness and Genevieve (Conrad) Markley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other loving family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Eleanor Laufenberg, Valarie Krantz, and Rita Amdahl; two brothers, Leonard (Agnes) and Wilfred; grandson Ryley Endres and great-granddaughter Katie Mae.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at WINN CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 Hwy Q. Waunakee, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at ST. MARTIN OF TOURS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5959 Martin Circle, Cross Plains WI, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at the church. Burial will follow the Mass at St. John's Cemetery in Waunakee.
