Robert Kirkpatrick

January 23, 1918 — July 2, 2016

MADISON/APPLETON --Robert B. Kirkpatrick, 98, passed away after a wonderful long life. He was born in Richland Center WI on January 23, 1918. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1941 in Accounting. He proudly served his country in World War II. He was a First Lieutenant in the Air Force completing 38 combat missions as a navigator in a B-29 stationed in Saipan. After the war he worked as an auditor for the State of Wisconsin and the Internal Revenue Service. He worked for Findorff Construction as a controller for many years. He was active as a Boy Scout leader for 50 years, a Devils Head ski patroller, and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Alice, and their infant daughter Jeanne Marie.

He is survived by four children, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; son Dr. Robert (Bonnie) of Columbus OH, grandson Matthew (Erin), great granddaughters McKenzie and Emily, of Columbia MD, granddaughter Katie (Greg) Turner of Annapolis MD, grandson Kevin (Julie) of Chicago IL, Kerrie (Mike) Zazon of Columbus OH; son Dr. Timothy (Linda) of Harland WI, grandsons Kyle of Houston TX, Sean of Portland OR, and Evan of Vallejo California; daughter Kathy (Scott) Moon of Stevens Point WI, grandson Brian (Kristin), great granddaughter Fiona of Waukesha WI, granddaughter Allison (Aaron) Tetzlaff, great granddaughter Kendall of Peoria IL, grandson Jeffery of Minneapolis; son Dr. John (Cindy) of Appleton WI, granddaughter Kelli (Ronaldo) Ghenov, great-grandsons Judah and Titus of Doylestown PA, grandson Dr. Andrew of Omaha NE, and Dr. David of Tallahassee FL.

Our father was the smartest man we ever knew, a trusted advisor and wonderful friend. We love you and will forever miss you.
