Robert D. Grefsheim

Robert D. Grefsheim, age 84, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Sienna Crest in Fort Atkinson.   He was born in Stoughton on March 25, 1926, a son of Oscar and Margaret (Olson) Grefsheim.   On April 19, 1947, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Visaas.   Robert was a car salesman for 35 years for Kayser Ford in Madison.   Selling cars was his passion.   Robert loved to fish and garden, and was a big baseball fan.   He enjoyed traveling to Canada, the cottage up North, and wintering in Florida.   He was a member of the McFarland Lutheran Church.   Robert is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy (Tom) Meaux and Susan (John) Scheuerell; 2 sons, James (Kathie) and Alan (Pamela) Grefsheim; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy; and 3 brothers, Norman, Howard and Richard.   Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 11:00 am at McFarland Lutheran Church, 5529 Marsh Rd., McFarland, with the Rev. Jerry Pribbenow officiating.   Following a luncheon at church, interment will take place at Roselawn Mausoleum in Monona.   The family will greet friends on Wednesday, April 21 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton (please note that visitation will be in Stoughton), and again at church in McFarland on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.   Special thanks to the staff of Sienna Crest and Rainbow Hospice.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sienna Crest, or to Rainbow Hospice.
