Stoughton - Robert L. Giddley, age 76, passed away on March 2, 2015 at his home. He was born on July 19, 1938 in Stoughton, Wisconsin, the son of Robert and Martha (Christianson) Giddley.
Robert was born and raised in Stoughton. He graduated from Stoughton High School in 1957. After school he enlisted in the Air Force Reserves until his discharge. Robert raised five children and enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling, garage sales, fall car rides, and exploring. He was also very active with golfing, foreign cars, painting and artwork. He has even designed a couple of the Syttende Mai coins.
Robert is survived by his five children; Maria Giddley, Angela (Eric) Kadlec, Nichole (Sean) McGuigan, Michelle Giddley, Michael Giddley, five grandchildren; Amanda Lathrop, Caleb Drmolka, Anthony Cardarella, Mason McGuigan, Jessey McGhee, sister; Barbara (Donald) Beck, brother; Richard (Cathy) Giddley, he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Katherine Benson.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect, Stoughton. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services on Thursday. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon at the American Legion Post 59, immediately following the services.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to the family.
